Hello Friends,

Thanks for taking a few moments to catch up with us. Martha returned Honduras after her surgery & recovery but now her heart is broken! Read on to see what is up...

What a surprising development this month for Martha. For quite awhile, she's been trying to get Drs to determine why she often felt difficulty breathing. Many Drs and many more tests later, a cardiologist insisted a pacemaker is the only solution. A second cardiologist that is running more tests, exploring every alternative. Praise and thanks to God for prudence in making sure this big decision is made as wisely as possible. As the month ends, we are still in the process. Stay tuned and thanks for your prayers, concern, and encouragement!

Praising God makes us feel good and God wants us to do it, too. How many of us are comfortable with leading praise in public? The Deaf find it quite challenging too. But they are learning to step up, whether they feel like it or not. As we've been working through some fairly serious health issues this past year, it has given rise to teaching opportunities as we stress circumstances should not control our responses. As it says in 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 "Be joyful always. Pray continually. Give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus."

As our classes grow and new classes are added, Martha looks forward to trading up to a bigger capacity vehicle. Surgery is not recommended for repairing her neck and back problems so a softer riding vehicle would be a huge blessing to her.
