This year we've been teaching about communication with God: talking, listening, meditating, and certainly that includes singing to Him! For people that have grown up with neither language or hearing, music is not a part of their lives. But it can be, even though initially way out of their comfort zone. After understanding that God desires "new songs" from all peoples, including them, our students enjoyed craeting new songs which are unique and sung for the first time anywhere. Watching and helping these Deaf folks create songs based on their prayers, experiences, God's work in their lives - how amazing. Their deep joy was so apparent when we explained that their obedience and effort gave our Heavenly Father great pleasure. Declaring His glory, proclaiming His salvation, singing new songs - for all people including the Deaf, God says it is the right thing to do. So follow their lead, you can also sing new songs to the Lord!

Psalms 96:1 Sing to the Lord a new song; sing to the Lord, all the earth. Sing to the Lord, praise his name; proclaim his salvation day after day. Declare his glory among the nations, his marvelous deeds among all peoples.

Thanks to God, the fund for Martha's vehicle upgrade continues to increase. We appreciate the generosity of all that have contributed. A new and better idea has emerged. She needs a 4x4, automatic transmission, large passenger capacity, strong suspension and reliable vehicle. And one that fits in with the smaller vehicles of Honduras (i.e. parking spaces, lanes, etc). So I'm going to customize a one of kind vehicle for her, like I did in Jamaica by adding 4 bucket seats and moving a bench inside a 4x4 cargo van, creating a go anywhere 9 passenger van. Here we'll buy a small 4 door pick-up (5 passengers), and ship down a camper shell that has a walk through door on the back. I'll add 2 nice seats out of cars from a salvage yard, 1 down each side of the bed. And Martha will have a wonderful, up to 12 passenger vehicle that is comfortable for her back, durable, reliable and will go anywhere. An added bonus is pick-ups are considered work vehicles here, taxed at a much lower rate and hold a higher resale value. Now we just need the remaining $10,960. This is going to be a great blessing for Martha and our students, thanks and praise to God!
