Howdy, *|FNAME|*
As we reach the end of another year, Martha and I stand amazed at all the amazing things we have seen God do! Thanks and praise to our Heavenly Father, who never ceases to seek and save those that are lost. And thank you for playing a part. Please read on, praising God with us!

One of my favorite things has been our Deaf church. They're becoming a unified body, learning how to truly love one another as they are changing the way they go through their daily struggles. The Discipleship Book we're developing helps them understand a wide variety of Biblical truths and in turn walk closer with their God. And the baptisms in August helped them step up in their public witness and boldness to tell others of Christ. How cool to see this verse before our eyes - "So Christ himself gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the pastors and teachers, to equip his people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature". Ephesians 4:11-13 Oh yeah, one of my favorite things!

Our work in Escuela Especial School for Special Needs Children continues to develop wonderfully, in addition to our work with kids in 5 other cities. Our main responsibility remains on Bible lessons and spiritual growth. We also are helping the teachers and students with their gov't mandated English & ASL, which has been an adventure for all. Deaf church is my favorite thing, but this is my favorite place in the country. Oh what a pleasure and honor to be on board with our Lord in this: "Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.” Matthew 19:14

Our La Paz class graduated another 35 public school teachers this year, about the same as last year, which blows us away. The Dept of Education asked us to train their school teachers again and more in depth, so all schools would have teachers that can sign. Each Saturday these teachers travelled to our class and we taught them Honduran Sign Language, heavy on Bible verses and with quite a few encouraging sermons thrown in. Almost all that followed through are Christians and have developed outlets to reach the Deaf and share God's love. Often they are the only one in their community that communicates with a Deaf student - how awesome to see a bunch of disciples made by mandate of the government! "Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you." Matthew 28:19-20a

Honestly, living in foreign country is a bummer sometimes but being home for the holidays with family mitigates that. Enjoying our grandkids, kids and friends blesses us immensely and gets us refreshed for another go at it. Martha has been getting a lot of treatment on her back and neck, trying to avoid surgery. We thank God for the progress and we'll know soon if she'll have the surgery or not. As for me, other than a big rotten hole in my arm from a spider bite, I'm doing great.

So how is God working in your life, besides your encouragement and support for these works? Let us know, we love to stay in touch!

Martha and I feel honored to live on the front line in Honduras, teaching the Word and sharing God's love with so many. If you feel God leading you to join our team by supporting the work financially, you can mail a check to the address below or donate securely online with this link DONATE. Thanks again, and to God be the glory, great things He is doing!!
