A little while back Martha and I got an idea we believed was from God, that we needed to transport Deaf folks from another town to our church. As they have grown older and gained responsibilities, there just was no common time for many to meet. So we prayed and mentioned it just once publicly. After that service, a gentleman came up and said he had a sum that he was looking for a place to donate to monthly and God told him this was it! We have secured door to door transport for anyone in Jesus de Otoro that wants to attend our Deaf church, and this is a picture of the first day! In a brand new van no less, owned and operated by a Christian man. Many of them expressed extreme gratitude at the "first in their lifetime opportunity to attend a church regularly in their own language". Wow, this is a huge thing. Thanks to God for His guiding and providing in order to get His sheep led and fed! (yeah, that was fun writing that). What is next? A bigger meeting place is needed obviously. And friends here recently shared their own idea from God, not knowing of our plans for instant 50% growth: that they provide us with a big beautiful room at their business, which is in a convenient location... This can be fun watching God do His thing!

Soon but not quite yet... the camper for Martha's new vehicle was originally supposed to arrive in 3 weeks, then 4 weeks, now we are at 5 weeks and hoping to see it at the end of this week. Patience is a fruit of the Spirit so we wait, mostly patiently. In the meanwhile, I'm searching junk yards for the optimal seating for 6-8 people. Patience, patience...

Almost 20 years ago, I had a stroke at age 38. Freaked us out to say the least. God has mostly healed the deficits I was left with. The past few years some old symptoms have returned plus been enjoying some new ones. I've spent extra time in the states seeing if Drs can figure it out. Maybe it was a TIA or nervous system misfiring from exhaustion, or who knows what. Drs have been able to rule some things out but can't say what it is. The heart surgery 15 months should stop any more blood clots so that is good. It took 17 years for medical knowledge to figure out that a heart issue caused the stroke - maybe they need more time to figure this out. Whatever it is, God has this and I enjoyed extra opportunities to to teach, share and preach. We'll keep looking for the cause when the opportunity presents itself, I'll keep working on strengthening the weaknesses and we press on with joy. Thanks for your prayers - we're good and running the race in His strength.
